1

Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between Wethr ("we," "our," or "us") and the church or organization ("you" or "your church") that registers for and uses the Wethr platform at wethr.co and associated subdomains.

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or permitting your staff or volunteers to use Wethr, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your organization. If you do not agree, do not use Wethr.

These Terms apply to your organization

The church or ministry that creates the Wethr account is the contracting party and is responsible for all activity that occurs within that account — including actions taken by staff, team leaders, and volunteers you authorize.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data, and any order forms or subscription agreements you have executed with us.

2

Eligibility & Accounts

Wethr is designed for churches, ministries, and faith-based nonprofits. To create and maintain an account, your organization must:

Be a recognized organization
A church, religious nonprofit, or ministry entity with legal standing in your jurisdiction.
Designate an administrator
An authorized individual (18+) who accepts these Terms and manages the account.
Maintain a valid subscription
Full access to the platform requires an active, paid subscription in good standing.
Comply with applicable law
Use the platform in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Account Security

Your church is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all login credentials issued to your staff and volunteers. You agree to notify us immediately at support@wethr.co if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account. Wethr is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of credentials that you failed to secure.

3

Subscription & Billing

Wethr is offered as a subscription service billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select at signup.

Topic Details
Billing cycle Monthly or annual, charged in advance on the anniversary of your subscription start date.
Payment method A valid credit or debit card is required. Billing is handled by our payment processor — Wethr never stores full card details.
Auto-renewal Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel before the next billing date to prevent renewal.
Price changes We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.
Refunds Monthly plans are non-refundable after billing. Annual plans may be eligible for a prorated refund within 14 days of payment — contact us to request one.
Failed payments If payment fails, we will retry and notify your administrator. Access may be suspended after 10 days of non-payment.
Taxes Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, or similar obligations in your jurisdiction.
Nonprofit & pilot pricing

We offer discounted rates for qualifying nonprofits and special arrangements for pilot churches. Contact us at hello@wethr.co to discuss options.

4

Acceptable Use

Wethr is built for ministry coordination. You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose and in ways that comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You may use Wethr to:

Permitted Activity Examples
Manage your congregation Maintain a family directory, track member status, organize household records.
Coordinate volunteers Build ministry teams, assign roles, schedule services, manage RSVPs.
Plan services Build orders of service, attach resources, manage service history.
Communicate with your team Send schedule notifications, reminders, and team messages via in-app, email, and SMS channels.

You may not use Wethr to:

Prohibited uses

Harass, threaten, or discriminate against individuals; send unsolicited bulk communications; attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorized to view; reverse-engineer or scrape the platform; resell or sublicense access to Wethr; store or transmit illegal content; or use the platform for any commercial purpose unrelated to your ministry.

Violations of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

5

Your Data & Content

Your church retains full ownership of all data, content, and records you create, upload, or import into Wethr — including directory records, service plans, files, notes, and messages ("Your Content").

We do not claim ownership of your content

Wethr does not acquire any ownership rights over Your Content by virtue of you storing it on our platform. Your church's records are yours — before, during, and after your subscription.

License you grant us

By storing Your Content in Wethr, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide the platform to you. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content — including any personal data about your congregation members — is collected and stored lawfully, with appropriate notice and consent where required by applicable privacy law. Wethr is a processor acting on your instructions; the legal responsibilities of a data controller rest with your church.

Data export

You may export Your Content at any time through the Wethr admin settings. We provide data in standard, portable formats (CSV, PDF) so you are never locked in. Upon account closure, you may request a final data export within 30 days before permanent deletion.

6

Our Service Obligations

We are committed to providing a reliable, well-maintained platform. Our obligations to you include:

Commitment Details
Availability We target 99.5% monthly uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance. We will communicate planned maintenance windows with at least 48 hours' notice.
Security We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.
Data protection We process your congregation's data only as described in our Privacy Policy and these Terms. We do not sell or monetize your data.
Support We provide email support at support@wethr.co with a target first response of 1 business day for paid subscribers.
Updates We continuously improve the platform. Updates are included in your subscription at no additional cost. We will not remove core features without reasonable notice.
Incident notification In the event of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify your account administrator within 72 hours of becoming aware.
Service provided "as is"

While we strive for reliability, Wethr is provided without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for losses arising from unavailability, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control — including acts of God, third-party infrastructure failures, or cyberattacks.

7

Intellectual Property

The Wethr platform — including its software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation — is owned by Wethr and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access and use Wethr for your church's internal ministry coordination purposes. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the platform or any of its components.

Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Wethr, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve our products and services, without any obligation to compensate you or credit your organization.

8

Third-Party Services

Wethr integrates with third-party providers to deliver certain features. These integrations are subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies.

Service Purpose Data shared
Email provider SendGrid / Postmark Transactional email delivery for schedule notifications, reminders, and announcements Recipient name, email address, message content
SMS provider Twilio Optional SMS notifications for schedule alerts and urgent communications Recipient phone number, message content
Payment processor Stripe Subscription billing and invoicing Billing contact name, email; no card data stored by Wethr
Infrastructure Cloud hosting Servers, storage, and CDN for platform operation All platform data, encrypted at rest and in transit

Wethr is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers. If a third-party integration experiences downtime or a security incident, we will communicate with you as promptly as possible and work to restore service.

The platform may contain links to external websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience only — Wethr does not endorse and is not responsible for the content or practices of any external sites.

9

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wethr's total liability to your church for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the platform — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total subscription fees paid by your church in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $500 USD.

Exclusion of consequential damages

In no event shall Wethr be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

10

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time for any reason, subject to the terms below.

Scenario Process Effect on data
You cancel your subscription Cancel anytime via account settings or by emailing support@wethr.co. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Data retained for 30 days post-cancellation; exportable during that window. Permanently deleted after 30 days.
We terminate for cause We may suspend or terminate immediately for material breach of these Terms, with written notice. We will provide an opportunity to cure where practicable. Data export available for 30 days unless the breach involved illegal activity.
We discontinue the service We will provide at least 90 days' notice before discontinuing Wethr, to give your church time to transition. Full data export provided; we will assist with migration where possible.
Non-payment Access suspended after 10 days of failed payment. Terminated after 30 days if not resolved. Data retained for 30 days post-termination, then deleted.

Upon termination, the licenses granted to you under these Terms cease immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.

11

Disputes

We hope to resolve any concerns through direct conversation first. If you have a dispute, please contact us at legal@wethr.co before initiating any formal proceeding. We commit to responding within 10 business days and working in good faith toward a resolution.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

Informal resolution

Before either party may bring a formal legal claim, the parties agree to attempt informal resolution for a period of 30 days from written notice of the dispute. This requirement does not apply to claims for injunctive or equitable relief.

Class action waiver

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes with Wethr on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.

12

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will:

Notify your church administrator via email at least 30 days before the updated Terms take effect. Display a prominent notice within the Wethr platform. Post the updated Terms at wethr.co/terms with a revised effective date.

Continued use of Wethr after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised agreement. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date.

Version history

Previous versions of these Terms are available upon request. Email legal@wethr.co and we will provide the version that was in effect on any date you specify.
